Terms of service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These terms are written in plain language. Please read them; they are short. You can save or print this page at any time. You accept them by checking a box before you start using Eidari; if they change, we ask you to accept the new version.
1. Who you agree with
Eidari is run by Virtue Compliance GmbH ("we", "us"), a Swiss limited liability company (GmbH), UID CHE-379.218.204:
Virtue Compliance GmbHMürtschenstrasse 7
8730 Uznach
Switzerland
Email: info@virtue-compliance.ch
The contract between you and us starts when you create an account and accept these terms by checking the box on the consent screen. We record which version you accepted and when. For the free service, these terms are the whole agreement. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy notice; your data rights do not depend on these terms.
2. What Eidari is, and what it is not
Eidari keeps a profile about you that you control, and lets AI assistants you connect read it and propose changes to it through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You decide which AI may read or write which part of your profile, and you can disconnect an AI at any time.
Eidari is a tool for describing yourself. It is not a psychological, medical, legal, financial or career assessment. The questionnaire and interviews help you put things into words; they are not a scientifically validated test, and their results are not a diagnosis.
3. Beta
Eidari is in beta. Some of what you see here is still being built. During the beta, Eidari is free. Features can change, be removed, or be interrupted, and we do not promise any particular availability. We change features only for good reasons (for example security, new laws, or improving the product), at no cost to you. If a change makes the service clearly worse for you, we tell you in advance and you can end the contract free of charge by deleting your account.
If we end the beta or the service, we tell you by email at least 30 days in advance so you can export your profile.
4. Prices and paid plans
Today everything is free. Prices shown on our website are planned prices, not an offer you can accept. We will never charge you without a separate, explicit order. Before you can buy a paid plan, we will show you its own terms: the final price including taxes, how and when it renews, how to cancel, refunds, and, where it applies, your right of withdrawal. If you do not buy a paid plan, nothing changes for you.
5. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old. We may close accounts of younger users.
- One person per account, and only for yourself. Use an email address that is yours.
- Keep access to your email and your sign-in methods safe, because they are how you sign in. Tell us at once at support@eidari.com if you think someone else has access.
- When you connect an AI, you allow it to act within the permissions you give it. What it reads or writes there counts as done on your behalf.
6. Your content
Your profile belongs to you. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to store, process and display your content and to pass the parts you allow to the AIs you connect, only as far as needed to provide Eidari to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account (copies in backups disappear on their normal cycle, as described in the privacy notice). We do not sell your profile, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
You confirm that you may use what you add, and that it does not break anyone else's rights. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Eidari without owing you anything; we will not publish your name or profile with it without asking.
7. Sensitive data and other people
A profile about your personality, values and relationships can reveal sensitive things about you. That is why we ask for your explicit consent first. Eidari is built to refuse statements about health, religion, politics, sexuality and finances, but that filter is not perfect, so please do not add such details on purpose.
Add information about other people (for example family, partners or colleagues) only if you are allowed to, keep it to what is needed to describe yourself, and never add sensitive details about them.
8. Connected AI assistants
- AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. Eidari is not affiliated with them.
- When an AI reads your profile, the data you allowed leaves Eidari and is processed by that company. We are not responsible for what it does with it. Disconnecting stops future access; it cannot take back what the AI already received.
- Sensitive details are only shared with an AI if you turn that on for that AI.
9. AI suggestions can be wrong
Statements that an AI proposes or saves, and summaries of imports, are generated automatically. They can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Review your profile and the change history from time to time, and do not rely on them alone for important decisions. You can undo or delete any change.
10. Fair use
Do not use Eidari to:
- store data about other people without a right to do so, or build profiles of others;
- break the law or the rights of others, or store illegal, hateful or harassing content;
- attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or try to get around the security or limits of the service;
- access other accounts, create accounts automatically, or resell or rent out the service.
11. Ending the contract
- You can stop at any time by deleting your account under Account. Export your profile first if you want to keep it.
- We can end the contract with 30 days' notice by email. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or the law requires it, we can suspend or close your account right away; where reasonable, we warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
- After the account ends, we delete your data as described in the privacy notice.
12. Our rights
The Eidari software, design, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the service. These terms do not give you any other rights to them.
13. No warranty
Eidari is a free beta. We work carefully, but we do not promise that it is always available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee that data can never be lost. Keep your own export of anything important.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by contract, for example statutory rights if digital content or a digital service does not conform.
14. Liability
- We are fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow a limit.
- Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for slight negligence, in particular not for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damage. This also applies to our staff and the providers we work with.
- Where we are liable despite this and the law allows a limit, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, or CHF 100 if that is higher.
- We are not liable for the services of third parties you choose to use, such as connected AI assistants.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15. Claims by others
If someone makes a claim against us because you culpably broke these terms or the law when using Eidari, for example by storing data about them without a right to, you compensate us for the reasonable damage and costs, unless you are not at fault. Consumers are only responsible within the limits of the law of their country.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for good reasons, such as new features, new laws, or security. We tell you about important changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then at no cost. If you keep using Eidari after that date, the new terms apply. Changes never apply to the past. Small corrections that do not affect your rights can take effect right away.
17. Law and courts
- Swiss law applies, without its conflict-of-laws rules and without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
- If you are a consumer living outside Switzerland, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
- The courts at our seat in Uznach, Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also sue us in the courts of your place of residence, and we can only sue you there.
- Please contact us first; most issues can be solved by email. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
18. Other points
- If one part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays valid. The invalid part is replaced by the legal rule.
- We may transfer this contract to a company that takes over Eidari. We tell you in advance, and you can end the contract by deleting your account. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.
- These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies unless the law of your country says otherwise.
- Notices to you go to the email address of your account. Notices to us go to the contact address below.
